Darwin OTB/WSSI

In the OTB/WSSI module all budget, sales, stock and purchase information comes together. The information is available on all levels of the planning hierarchy per season, both pre-season and in-season.

The sales and markdown budgets of the Merchandise Planning are distributed over periods. There is a free period definition, e.g. per week, 4-4-5, month. Darwin distributes the budgets based on profiles from the past. Profiles can be adjusted by the user.

Before and during a season the user can:

  • Adjust sales and markdown budgets per period
  • Save stock covers and/or required closing stocks
  • Check the expected stock levels until end of season
  • Adjust sales prices per period
  • Judge the calculated OTB values

The OTB screen can be shown with a selection per period (from-until). This is some of the information available: actuals of sales and markdowns, sales and markdown budgets, stock and stock development, purchase orders, required closing stocks, current cover and required cover. The information is displayed per season.

While adjusting budgets, retail prices and required closing stocks the user is supported with information of previous seasons. For adjustment of the budgets forecast of sales and markdown  are available. There are three different forecast models.

The stock cover is a real forward cover. Based on required cover, the budgets and ideal closing stock % the required stock per period are calculated. After each budget adjustment new required closing stocks are calculated based on the required cover.

The expected closing stock of seasonal goods is automatically assigned to season OLD. For NOOS groups a separate continuous NOOS season is available.

The most important reports are the OTB/CTB per season and the OTB/CTB per period in pieces, retail value and cost price value. All detailled information of sales, stocks and purchases are available for reports. This is possible because the information Darwin gets in the interface are individual POS transaction, purchase order lines  and all stock levels of article/color/sizes.
